St Monica Trust is threatening to fire and rehire staff who do not accept new contracts. Those contracts will mean:
- Cuts to pay, sometimes totalling over £3,500 a year
- Cuts to sick pay entitlement and evening and weekend pay rates
- Cuts to the working hours of staff by forcing an extra unpaid breaks during their shifts
Care workers have gone above and beyond to protect the most vulnerable in our society during this pandemic. We cannot stand by when their employers mistreat them.
