Email the CEO of Leeds Teaching Hospitals and support the strike

Leeds Theatre assistants have taken over 50 days of strike action to ask to be paid what they are owed.

These workers do duties above thier current pay grade, including counting items in, opening equipment in a sterile manner and providing excellent patient care right before and after someone goes into surgery. Currently, they are paid just £12.92 an hour for this work and they are asking to be paid £14.04 an hour, this is in line with trusts across the country, including Airedale, Calderdale and Huddersfield and Sheffield Hospitals.

Despite the workers campaigning for this for over a year, Leeds teaching hospitals are refusing to pay them the correct band for the job, despite the fact the CEO Brendan Brown, in his previous role in Calderdale and Huddersfield, upbanded these workers to a band 3 for doing exactly the same work.

Are workers in Halifax and Huddersfield worth more than workers in Leeds?

To support us, we are asking you to write a letter to Brendan Brown to tell him you support us and we deserve to get the correct band for our job.
