Public service workers show up for us – now it’s the government’s turn to show up for them.
Every day, public service workers show up for all of us. They care for our loved ones, keep our streets and communities safe, support children and families, respond to emergencies, maintain our public spaces and keep essential services running.
It is time to bail out public services – they are at breaking point and the people who keep them going cannot keep doing more with less.
We are calling on the government to show up for public services in the budget.
We demand:

Fair pay – reversing years of real terms pay cuts and tackling the recruitment and retention crisis across our public services.

Proper investment in public services – using a wealth tax to make the richest pay to rebuild the services we rely on and funding them for the long term.

Insourcing now – bringing services back into public hands, working with trade unions on a clear plan to stop wasting taxpayers' money on outsourcing.
