Their NHS colleagues will get a pay rise of 6.5% or more over the next 3 years and they do the same job. ALL NHS staff deserve a pay rise.

Mitie staff have not had a cost of living pay rise since they were transferred from Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust nearly 4 years ago.

Mitie employees are a vital part of the hospital team. They include cleaners, porters, catering staff, ward hosts, security staff, laundry staff, switchboard operators, the waste team and others. They work closely alongside their NHS colleagues to ensure that patients are looked after properly.

Some Mitie staff are paid at £8.21 per hour rather than the NHS minimum of £9.00 per hour.

UNISON is campaigning for all NHS workers, regardless of employer, to be treated fairly and paid as NHS workers.
