Your MP can stand up to British Gas Bullies

Like it or lump it - that's what British Gas staff have been told. Managers are threatening to fire and rehire staff on significantly worse conditions. This includes:

  • Reductions in annual leave
  • Reductions in sick pay
  •  Reduction in their overtime rate 
  • A longer working week
  • A requirement to be available to work from 6am -11pm 7 days a week, without any additional premium payments and no right to refuse
  • Removal of contractual enhanced redundancy pay

Managers are glossing over years of corporate led decline and the fact their staff have, on countless occassions, proven themselves to be loyal and reasonable.

Workers are being treated with contempt, when all they want is to protect their livelihoods and to be treated with respect. Unions are willing to negotiate - but the bullying must stop.
