Local government workers have responded heroically to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis. 

Local government in Scotland has suffered more than a decade of cuts and is now under severe financial strain as a result of the pandemic, with increased demand for services and a substantial loss of income. 

UNISON Scotland is calling on the Scottish Government to:

1. Protect jobs and services

2. Reward council workers

3. Build strong councils after Covid

4. Implement full consolidation of the living wage for all
