SUPPORT THE HEARTLANDS HOSPITAL PORTERS.
PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION!

NHS Porters at Heartlands Hospital have responded heroically to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis providing support to the most vulnerable members of our communities, despite the risk to themselves and their families.

We believe that the University Hospitals Trust acted despicably when they threatened to sack porters unless they signed up to the new porter rota.  We understand that the new rota will have a huge detrimental impact on their lives and that of their families.

We are shocked that an NHS Trust has resorted to using ‘fire and rehire’ practices rather than engaging in meaningful negotiations with their union, UNISON.

Please sign our petition, calling on the Trust to withdraw the imposed rota and to engage in negotiations with UNISON.

Act now. Sign our petition.

We call upon the Chief Executive, David Rosser, and the Chair of the Trust, Jacqui Smith, to withdraw the rota imposed upon the porters at Heartlands Hospital and to return to negotiations with their union, UNISON.
