The government’s own data shows that coronavirus (COVID-19) cases among school-age children have surged to a record high with nearly 200,000 pupils being absent from school on 30th September.
Staff absence rates are also increasing.
It doesn't have to be like this! Many countries in Europe have kept safety measures in place and have not experienced the same surge in cases.
