SOLVE THE STAFFING CRISIS IN SOCIAL CARE

Social Care in Scotland is in crisis and we need action now for the sake of social care workers in the third / private sector.

Without our hard-working social care staff, some of the most vulnerable in our society would be at real risk every day; from providing palliative care to assisting people in their journey into society, and we would be poor as a nation without them.

Fill in your details and send an editible letter to the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, Kevin Stewart MSP urging the Scottish Government to back the UNISON Scotland campaign calling for:

1. A £2,000 welcome payment to all those applying to jobs in the Third/Private Sector.

2. A £2,000 loyalty payment to all those currently working in the Third/Private Sector.

3. The Scottish Government to negotiate with UNISON on introducing an Unsocial Hours allowance in the Third/Private Sector.

4. The Scottish Government to negotiate with UNISON on introducing a Night Shift allowance in the Third/Private Sector.

5. Payment of all professional registration fees for staff working in the Third/Private Sector.
